With Sincere Appreciation
Thanksgiving is a time when we express our gratitude for what we have. We are grateful for having enough food to eat, a place to live, clothes to wear and all the basic “stuff†as well as the extras we have. We are also grateful for the non-stuff: our friends and family, our health, our work, our leisure, our lives.
We say “thank you†automatically. This year I’m adding appreciation – a small difference. To tell someone you appreciate them takes the thanks from me to you.
I am grateful.
You are appreciated.
I appreciate having you in my life.
Lao Tzu says:
In dwelling, live close to the ground
In thinking, keep to the simple
In conflict, be fair and generous
In governing, don’t try to control
In work, do what you enjoy
In family life, be completely present
